My baseball glove has a problem, can you help?

I recently bought a Mizuno Vintage 11.75 inch ball glove serial/ numbering is as follows MVT1176 about 4 weeks ago. There is one problem though, when there is a line drive hit right to the gap in between the middle leather piece and the side the ball sometimes get stuck.

You need to tighten the laces on that part of the glove to close that gap a bit.
